Trying to catch the attention of the second cutest (sorry, I’m biased to Lucy Pearl) kitty in the world, I sat comfortably in Allie and Evanna’s living room as little Lola played with my necklace. “You better be coming to our listening party on the 7th, Char!” Said Allie, getting up from her seat to change the track on her iPhone. I gave her a sassy look of “Uhhh, OBVIOUSLY. And I’ll be there with my camera,” I retorted back to her. Hair almost as full of life as Allie herself, the petite, beautiful light-skinned woman I came to know this past summer epitomizes what a soul connection is. Extremely talented dancer, singer, gymnast and super sweet human of LIFE, Allie is a fellow cancer who vibes my vibes and I am always excited to see at any gathering.

Tuning into the song that started to bump through the speakers, I looked at Allie and Evanna in shock. “IS THIS YOU?!?!” She nodded her head, smirking, “Everyone always says that!” I closed my eyes and took in the track… the way Damian produced it, how Apollo ripped it on the mic, Lady Boxx, and of course, Allie aka Shabaz, killing it with her vocals… I couldn’t do anything else but “PULL UP! PULL UP! PULL IT AGAIN! PULL IT AGAIN!” … um, about 4 times. Hahahhahaa. AND I got up and danced by myself (well, I attempted to pick up kitty and dance with her too. Lol)

I’ve never heard anything like it. The progression of the song, how it was all composed, it’s some NEXT sh*t… I appreciate originality and diversity, and people who push outside of the conventional boundaries. Soul Custody does exactly that… THANK GOD. Lol.
