Lovehard presents LINCOLN BLACHE

[inspired by one of my fave photographers — Angie Choi,I spent the last 2 hours playing on photoshop with Lincoln’s photos]

About a month ago, I received an email from a woman named Sharob who asked me if I was interested in doing some viral marketing videos for an artist she managed named Lincoln Blache. At the time, I was swamped with a 6 course load of school work and really wasn’t looking into taking on too many Lovehard projects. To be completely honest, I was preettyyy sure I was going to say no, but one rule of business I made for myself is that I never want to give a solid No until I am able to meet an artist and make a connection with them. I’m a strong believer that if real connections are established, it’s only a matter of time before they’re able to strengthen.

One thing I noticed right away about Lincoln upon clicking his website link is how impeccable the design of his site was. I’m sorry! Tickle my visual fancy and I’m nearly sold. Ask anyone who’s talked to me about business — artistic branding, branding, branding! Then I read the dude’s biography in all it’s entirety — featured on a number one MTV Europe song produced by dance DJ’s Doman and Gooding? It nominated for a Juno in 2010 for Best Dance Recording? Oh, I haven’t even told you what kind of music the kid messes with. Pop/Rock, R&B Alternative… Lincoln raps, sings, and pretty much swoons those he encounters. I was thoroughly intrigued by just his online presence.

Come one snowy Monday evening, I walked into Lincoln’s studio where I was greeted by Sharob and Chuck, his music and design manager. When Lincoln walked in, he instantly gained my respect by rockin’ a pair of Tretorns. Lol. We ended up choppin’ it up for a few hours, sharing video links and talking about what kind of virals he wanted. At that point, it wasn’t about whether or not this was worth my time — I was convinced that this was a collaboration I could not pass up. I think what inspired me most aside from Lincoln’s undeniable talent, is the fact that him and his team are so strong and really believe in his future potential for more success. Myself included!

With all that being said, here are the first of some of his viral videos I shot. They’re both of his rehearsal with drummer JB Allen and Guitarist Ben Healey.
