And so Winter  break commences! Classes are over but exams are upon me. Thankfully I’ve only got two and they’re soft tings (or so I think, lol). Plans for the winter holiday? Weelllps… I’m sure not going home to Vancouver for Christmas, sigh, which is okay with me considering I picked up a winter seasonal job and making some mad coin right now is my first priority… To be completely frank, I want take this time to really rejuvenate and get some personal projects done. They’ve been sitting on the back burner for a minute now and we all know that never feels too good to have things looming! Other than that, a whole crap load of events are hitting my agenda and it’s that time of year in Toronto that even though snow and cold likes to taunt us… we just retaliate by partying even harder!

My girl Tonika and my good peoples at POUND magazine throw down these wicked beat battles and showcases every so often and I still have YET to reach. Graahhhhhhh. Unfortunately studying for silly exams hold first priority, so I won’t be able to come through this time around (again, bleh!) so I thought I’d show some love and re-post their event. On King and John, Dazzling is that spot you’re feelin’ if you wanna throw on some heels, maybe a cute simple dress to compliment, order some Japanese fusion appys, a glass of wine, and let your ears melt to some soul, jazz, and r&b… LIVE by various guest performers, and in-house band “O” and Chicken & Waffles. They’re amazing! I looove the vibe at this party, and after all the performanes, my man DJ BIG JACKS throws down a paaaarrtyyyy. I must go again!

*punches walls and babies* You don’t know how happy I am about this! When I first moved to Toronto, Rolly’s Garage was THE spot! Owned by my homegirl Robin, her and Tiffany of Teamsofierce used to throw nightmarkets, parties, art events, concerts, you name it, in this grungy, ill vibes garage that Robin’s dad, Rolly, used to fix cars out of. Due to a bunch of politics and all that jazz, Rolly’s is technically now Meta Gallery with beautiful renovations and great art work. But MAN! To hear that a Nightmarket is goin down after how long of not having a Rolly’s Garage event? I’m there! I’m there, I’m there, I’m THERE! Artisans, vendors, probably some delicious warm holiday drinks and music will be goin’ down. Come!
